The Stargek Tamiya competition is around 2 weeks away. These are what I'll be entering.

This is the new one from Tamiya's 1/48 line, and it went together very smoothly. Tracks come premolded with the link sag, and it's a very nice scale for small dioramas. I might enter this in the Tamiya competition if I can finish it in time.

While waiting for decals for other projects to arrive, I got bored and decided to snap together this 1/72 Tamiya release, out of the box. This is a real Tamiya release, not one of those Tamiya-boxed Italeri releases.

Decal scheme will be Hans Hahn's yellow-tailed plane with the kill markings on the tail.

The 1/144 big gun has finally arrived. The box is not that big after all, but it seems like it's around 60 cm long fully assembled.

xx 1/144 MLRS
April 18, 2006, 08:57:07 PM by Sir Loin of Beef
I am currently hooked on the World Tank Museum series. These little gems come prepainted and with some shading they have incredible detail for their size - around 4 cm in length. This is from Dragon's M2 Bradley series, and represents the M270 MLRS as it was used in the Iraq war.

I used beach sand for the base and found even the fine grain much too large for this scale, so I'm padding it with talcum powder now.
